I need a file splitter with the following requirements:
1) Is free
2) No installer
3) Takes a directory or .zip file and splits it into the required amount of 1.44m floppy file images, the first disk with an "install.exe" installer that, when run, will reassemble the files into a specified directory.

I have a large multi-filed program (an MS-DOS GUI) that I want to transfer over to my MS-DOS box, but I don't have CD support.

Thanx

Have you tried this?

Some Hex Editors (like HxD) also got one, but you then have to specify the chunk size. I suggest using the above as it can make accurate floppy-sized chunks when a command line switch is present. Making floppy-sized chunks is actually what that program is designed for!

used to do this with arj.exe, using the good old command line prompt.

Arj was one of the few archivers that was able to divide a file over a number of disksize blocks.
