Has anyone successfully gotten WP2DOS to work in a DOSBox (or other software) under Linux? I am trying to get my Tandy WP-2 to talk to my Linux box so I can move files back and forth.

If not, is there interest in a modern replacement for WP2DOS for Linux/Windows/Mac? I've been tinkering with the TPDD protocol as documented on the Club 100 site.

I want to use my WP-2 for its actual intended purpose of writing but won't/can't start until I know I can get files back and forth from my desktop.

That, or I have to use another vintage machine such as my CF-150 or one of my 1500HDs to run WP2DOS, put the files on a floppy and pop the floppy into my desktop. I'd prefer to avoid that even though it is properly vintage.

I use Minicom for Linux to move files to and from old computers. It's somewhat the Linux equivalent of Telix (or Procomm), but you may have to run it as root to get it to talk to the serial port. At least that's what I have to do.
