I have an untested digital cassette tape transport made by MFE and used by Raytheon. I can't find any info on it, so I'm not sure how much it's worth. It includes the manual and blueprinted schematics dated November 24, 1976. I'm guessing it was for a minicomputer, maybe the Raytheon 704? I saw here (http://computermuseum.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de/dev_en/ray704/) a digital tape drive was an option, but I don't see it mentioned further. I have pictures of it and everything it comes with here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1WU1to-ulsog6ZL-bbnmYhLYywPTrhRlw?usp=sharing

If you're interested feel free to make an offer on it :) It looks like it could be a cool addition to a collection, or a useful add-on for an old minicomputer. Thanks!

Looks familiar. MFE was one manufacturer; Techtran was another. Basically, these units take the place of punched paper tape. I don't know what (if any) interface is present on your unit.

a warning to anyone thinking of buying this that the drive requires the use of a MFE pre-formatted cassette
since the drive uses a timing track to maintain tape speed
