Yo every one, and look at my $14.61 Pentium 233 MMX Packard Bell I just won!

Meh, my new computer that i use for surfing is a packard bell.

it was the only one in my price range that had the specs i want...

Its a PB Imedia with 1gb ram, pentium 4, 256mb geforce graphics card, and good onboard sound. Sounds nice, and for £420 (base unit only) brand new it seemed like a good price for the spec, at least in the UK. However, compare it with my PIII dell optiplex gx150, it just _feels_ cheap, I cant see any problems, but the case is flimsy (one of the DVD flaps has already popped off) and theres no weight to it. The Dell just feels nicer.

I owned a 386DX packard bell in 2001, and it ran windows 95 pretty well with 16mb sram, my third PC..lol....SO FREAKING SLOW!
It never gave me any trouble, but I have heard horror stories about their PSU's in their P1 stuff smoking and catching on fire.

What kind of a Vintage computer is that???? ....It has a "MOUSE"...... Is nothing sacred?????? ....Just Kidding....looks kinda interesting.;)

Mouse in Swedish is also slang for a women's body part, so instead it was recommeded to call it rat. It never took off though, just like joystick never was renamed to steering stick. Before IBM had coined PC, that kind of computer was known as hobby, micro, office, private, small or table computer. The TRS-80 was marketed in Sweden as an infomate. :-?

Kubrick was right - everything & everything has a connection -
or perhaps a relationship with something - occassionally
production also occurs! "Dr. Strangelove Or: How I learned to
stop worrying and Love the Bomb" certainally exploits this on
the open sequences - quite beautifuly too!

Bit tricky to explain what Kubrick uses when he shot those
planes - except for that fill 'er upper.

For more information consult the end of your Computer
connectors! ;-)
