I don't really consider that model very collectable yet, rare yes, but then my GEM PC's are rare, and the one is almost bone stock save the cards & NPU I added, I spent only $9.99 for that 286.
As for smoke stained, that might be sun-stained too. I remember a Tandy 1000 TL/3 that sat in a store window for almost 5 years when I lived in Opelika. When it was first set there, it looked brand new, but when I went by another day, just before I moved before it was gone, it had turned a nasty yellow collor from the sun beaming down on it for days at a time. The really krazy part is it sat there with a $500.00 price tag for at least 5 years, yet there was no way of getting in contact with the seller, no phone number, the store was not even in business anymore, just a lone Tandy 1000 TL/3 sitting in the window.
