UPDATE: I am in and out of town until late January I won't be able to pack/ship/quote shipping prices until then, but if you want something, let me know and I'll keep your name on it.

Hi, I'm Michael. These things need good homes. PM offers.

I'm in the suburbs of Chicago and I can drive locally to drop off. Generally I'd say as-is, but I'm unsure of how the lack of use has affected things. If I think something is working, and you find that it is not, I'll refund you.

PayPal is fine, add shipping. Cash in person.

That's not a collection, that's a store inventory.

Got some nice stuff there, but, unfortunately, a lot of it is "heavy metal" and. with the current increase in shipping costs (seems globally), it MIGHT be a little bit more difficult to move it that it would have been even a year ago.

On the up side, there are no PDPs or Crays :). Also, stuff has been going for some surprising prices as people with more money than brains get into the Vintage arena.

Hi Michael,

I appreciate you listing the equipment here first, certainly could ensure a better future for those systems than otherwise.

As you probably know it's difficult to sell a collection in it's entirety (even if it is worth the total amount) but since you're selling to collectors usually we already have some of those systems and are looking for parts to complete our own or a few missing systems to get the models we want in our collections.

You'll undoubtably get some offers on your equipment though which is good, you'll also probably make the most money by selling the systems individually as well, just don't part them out )

I'll send you a PM about some stuff. <s>where are you located so we know what to expect for shipping?</s>Nevermind.. if I'd read more closely I'd see you're in Chicago.

Thanks for the replies. I'm willing to at least split shipping if someone wants the entire collection. I'll be away to see my father for Father's Day, but after that I will look at splitting things up.

Does the IBM PS/2 Model 70 work? If so I would be interested. Please post information and price.

You can email me direct at:

Buyer In Chicago!

Buyer In Chicago!

Hi Michael,

I live just north of the city and work in Lincoln Park weekdays.

Could I drop by and see the collection at a convenient time? I'm sure I will find something I can't live without,,,;).
Also, I have an IBM-PC 5150 that needs a new hard drive (RLL) and a monitor that supports EGA. Any chance you have either of these?
Just drop me a reply and I'll get a notice.
Thanks,

John O'C.

I'd say it's more than an inventory. It's a computer collectors erotic dream. The only thing it needs is some CoCo OS9 stuff. some Amiga Toaster wth accellerator cards and Hi-end Atari Falcon music stuff to put you over the top. Rob and Cat. Or just Cat. YEOWW.

Oh-Oh-Oh- Oghhhhh---!!

Lawrence

No Apple collection is complete without a stack of II/IIx/IIfx's or some Quadra 840av/950's.

;)

do you sell casio 880p

do you sell casio 880p

hi ! i am not a computer geek so pardon me if I might not understand some jargon/
I am looking for an old pocket pc-- a casio 880p (programmable) for my dad-- or any pocket pc that runs on BASIC, must be at least 32kb (memory) or higher, must be programmable, and small enough to fit "pocket" or purse.

chimeT:)

Yeah - I mean if I can chime in on a 6-month old PX-8 thread....

Honestly, can't hurt to try and reach out.

I pulled up an old posting on the machine pages here, i think for the Telcon Zorba, and like a year later the dude still had it, and I got it for shipping.

Omnikeys! Om nom nom!

Price and shipping for one to Ontario, Canada please? (I ask publicly so the same info will help other residents of the province)

(edit: nevermind, you said hefty offer and I don't pay more than $5 for a keyboard even if it DOES have alps switches)

As you're both probably aware it's .. well.. ok it's a "vintage" post ;-). He haven't logged in since December last year. But all is not lost, you might want to try sending him an email via his username and perhaps he still has his stuff for sale.

I can't recall if it was him or someone else I did chat with about a bunch of Be stuff but at the time they (an appropriately so) wanted a bit more than I had for things.

Certainly a sweet collection of stuff though.

Whoops. I saw a new post notification and took that as a sign it was alive. Thanks for the heads up though.

Hi everyone. I love email inbox surprises! I'm replying to PMs now, let me know if you're interested in anything. I suppose I should put prices on the main list... so that's the weekend.

-Michael
