I would like to suggest something about the RAMs.

128RAM can have better than double of the 64ram on overall performance.
This means that 128RAM has siginificant performance improvement than 64MB not just 64MB more and worth to invest on 128mb RAM.

I would suggest we use as few pieces of RAM as we can to get the very slightly better performance.
eg, 64x2 is better than 16x8.

Good. You'll propably find there's a lot of script errors as well. Try and get hold of Opera 10ish if you are using IE.

Nah I was using Opera 8.50 and it was working well with no script errors. I don't know why VCF seems to deplete the ram so quick

If you can find some of the old Opera add-ons, such as Adblock, that will help. Try aliasing some of the more problematic junk sites in your HOSTS file to avoid loading garbage that you don't need:

Just before trying something that might mess it up, I can just take the CF card out and create an image and that way I can restore it if necessary.

Yes it was Opera 8.5 on Windows 95. Now using Opera 9.6 on Windows 98
Not as horrible as I expected it would be.

That's good to know. I've been using Opera 6.0 on my Win 95. I'll try to upgrade to Opera 8.5 instead. :kitty2:

OK, so I thought I would try Opera 8.5. I uninstalled Opera 6 which worked fine, and installed Opera 8.5 It can't connect or find any server. (this is an ethernet connection to the router) IE 5 connects just fine. OE email connects fine. I reran Internet wizard from cp, and still no connection on Opera. I rebooted several times. I uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled. nothing. Then I tried Opera 8.54. Same thing. Opera just won't connect from my Windows 95 Gateway. Only IE 5.5 works (even the old Opera worked.) Am I overlooking something? I really like the look of Opera 8.5 too.

I don't know what to say. It more or less worked right off the bat for me.
I think I had to update some network .dll but since you are running IE5.5 it should already be done.
Do you know what version of 95? System specs?

Are you using DHCP? I am using a static IP because I am using my Linux laptop as a wireless to ethernet relay.
Not sure it would matter though.
