I've got a DOS 3.2 boot disk for my Olivetti Prodest PC1, but it is in Italian. I wondered if anybody had access to boot disks that came with the English versions of this PC? Thank you.

I was contacted out-of-the-blue by a guy offering an Olivetti Prodest PC1, and he wanted it gone ASAP. His email said unless somebody collected it, it would go down the recycling centre (see: city dump). The email was sent (blind) to more than just me, so I knew I had to get in there quick...

All of a sudden, I'm getting memory errors on my Compaq Deskpro 386S. I seem to recall this happened before, and was maybe a side-effect of the Dallas RTC battery chip failing. Any ideas?

I have an IBM PC 5150, and admittedly, I've already been giving it some upgrades, like an XT-IDE card, but I'm wondering about replacing the Color Graphics adapter with VGA, so that I can use a (larger) modern display. It seems that getting a compatible (8bit) VGA card is fraught with issues...

I wanted to play with a simple BBS system, dialling into it across my PBX from various vintage machines. Using VMWare Player, I installed an MS-DOS machine with DOS 6.22 in a small virtual machine, and installed a program called TinyHost 3.3.1. It works a treat, but comes up with 'nag' screens...
