Is anyone here familiar with the PDP-8 clone/compatible made by Consolidated Computer Inc in Canada.

I have recently acquired one in a 19" floor standing cabinet with a 9 track tape drive in another cab.

I have searched around but can't find anything out about these machines. Does anyone know anything about them?

Thanks,

Andy.

Hi,

Here are a few photos.
I haven't had a chance to get a good look at it yet but hopefully in the next few days I will.

In the meantime any clue will be gratefully received :)

Cheers,

Andy.

Here's a look at the board labelled "Accumulator". The logo on the top left corner is that of Consolidated Computer Inc. (CCI) so I'm assuming that they made it.

Ampex made the two core memory boards ut if you look and the label it shows a customer part number and that starts with CCI so, again it points to CCI making the machines themselves (or getting things made for them)

I'd previously wondered if they had a re-homed PDP-8m but it looks like they made their own machine.

Interesting stuff...

Yes, that's going to keep you busy :)!

Just had a hunt round myself for documentation - and drew a blank.

My Father worked for CCI as VP Manufacturing back in the 70's - 80's.
and Nabu...

I may have some old paraphernalia related to this.... Key-edit and the "Falcon"

Yours if I can find it.
