That looks like something I tried about 15 years ago marketed as a game controller. It was a cool concept but I never could get it to work right. The ultrasonic sensors don't seem to have the precision needed for a pointing device.

No, it was a pointer shaped kind of like a C2 Taser, with a sensor that fit on the monitor like the device in the auction. It was supposed to sense where on the screen the device was pointed at, and it sort of did that most of the time. I can't remember what it was called.
