Hi all. I just scored a Compaq Portable from 1984 for a song and I have been hitting a lot of posts from this forum so figured I should join. I have been tinkering with computers since the 90s and work as a system admin. I also briefly had an XT and a IBM portable way back then but had no idea what I was dealing with! I attended VCF east in 2021 which was a blast. I visited the computer history museum last year and will definitely need to go back. I may try to put a progress thread going if that is cool.
