I have a pretty good collection of vintage computers and software approx. 1980's and on. I will list them if any one's interested. Now for how I got here. I just received a Wyse 2112 step 286/16 and can't get into setup. After a two beep post.... error bad configuration press f1 to enter setup....pressed f1.... then no boot device found....I think I need a Wyse setup floppy here....so I load Dos 3.30 and try c: enter....no drive detected....so now I load a vintage Ontrack Disk Manager (5.25) to initialize harddrive...bad controller....I've tried different key combinations on boot but just get keyboard error...the system has Wyse rom bios ver 2.75 but display reports Pheonix...My question is does this machine require a setup floppy even though it has bios in rom? and is there any other way to configure the system? Sorry to ask for so much on my first post.
