Over the weekend I bought an IBM 6094 020 button pad to go with my RS/6000 system (7030-3CT) however aside from the unit I got nothing else.
I have uncovered mbbrutman's page (https://www.brutman.com/IBM_LPFK/IBM_LPFK.html) about serial converting the unit however aside from some text-only whitepapers I have not yet found any information regarding what cabling to use or even a pinout. Without pulling the machine out I recall there is a dedicated miniDIN-8 port on the back for such peripherals and also powers the LPFK directly, and the whitepapers for the machine specify....
...as the appropriate cable for attaching it. However again, no pinout.
Does anyone know if that cable is passive or do the pins differ on each end? Likewise, is there a source for the AIX utilities/driver? Google is hopelessly clogged up with crap from Deskthority, Reddit and Geekhack.
