Looking for an IBM 5215 or 5218 printer to be used with an IBM 6580 (Displaywriter).

Preferably in Europe, due to voltage differences/shipping costs. Please let me know if you have one for sale, thanks!
 
That's why when somebody says that they're getting a DIsplaywriter, I advise them to snag the printer if available.

One thing that few seem to appreciate is that most of the formatting "smarts" of the Displaywriter is built into the printer, not the DW itself.

I know all that - however, today they are mostly sold as components, with disk drives, keyboard, monitor and system unit as separate components. (That is, if they are sold at all - it is a rather rare machine today). Still, I hope that some day I will get a printer for the system to make it complete...

If someone from vcfed.org wins this, maybe it is possible to arrange a single printer for international shipping? However, I'm afraid that long therm storage in the attic might have ruined the components beyond repair...
 
Still searching - if anyone knows where to get one, or someone has a spare, please let me know...
