Here's a few pictures of the computers I get by with to go along with my antique computer collection post in the collections forum.

This system is an Athlon 64 3400+ (2.4GHz) w/2GB DDR400 SDRAM, a Radeon X800GTO 256MB AGP video card, 160GB, 40GB, and 120GB internal and 160GB external HDDs, DVDRW DL drive, 5.25" and 3.5" floppy drives, front bay memory card reader, PCI Firewire/USB expansion card, Logitech G5 laser mouse, and a Motorola external serial 56k modem. It also has a Creative SB Audigy plugged into an Onkyo surround-sound amplifier. The monitors are an NEC MultiSync FP1370 22" CRT and a Dell 1702FP LCD.

This system is an Athlon XP 2500+ (1.83GHz) w/1.5GB DDR333 SDRAM, a Radeon 9500 Pro 128MB AGP video card, 120GB, 60GB, 120GB, and 40GB internal HDDs, CDRW and DVDRW drives, miro DC30+ Pinnacle PCI video capture card, Promise Ultra/66 IDE PCI card, onboard sound plugged into the Onkyo surround-sound amplifier via optical cable and an old 8-track recorder stereo amplifier for private listening. The monitors are a Nokia 21" CRT and a Wacom Cintiq 15X LCD.

My Thermaltake Armor case cuts an imposing figure, and looks rather charming with the antique floppy drive.

This is a wonderful little toy I picked up for a song. Pressure-sensitive stylus with an eraser, functions as a secondary monitor, makes a great combo with Artrage 2.

I have a third system out in the workshop, a P4 2.8GHz with 1GB RAM, a 128MB GeForce4 MX440, and about 1TB of HDD space, but it's not booting right now and needs a monitor, wireless card, and lots of TLC and time that I don't have.

My local newspaper has a daily poll online on the most varying topics. The poll today is "How many computers do you own" and the choices go from none to 5+. Needless to say it was easy for me to click on 5+, even though I rarely have more than two powered on and at best only two are modern enough to make most people consider them.

Maybe most interesting is that after 543 supposedly unique votes, the average answer so far is 2.08 computers per voter. Earlier this morning it was as high as 2.46 computers per capita.
