As a resident of Scotland (which has a population of only 5.4 million compared to England's 57m), I know your pain. You can try to give things away here, but the population's just too sparse for anyone who's interested to be within a convenient driving range.

I have plans to move to continental Europe in a few years (in pursuit of better weather, among other things). I predict a long future of trying to get strange computer equipment through airport security ahead of me...

Hmmm…. The generator… What kind of sockets does it have? Any 240V?

Kind of a drive, but might be worth it. (And my wife and I like camping at Cultus Lake, so maybe a week there, and a day trip to head up to you.)

It has a twist lock for 240v but it seems only rated for 20A.
I was going to keep it around as a backup now that our main panel is on the far end of the house and you can wire that in for heating and such but I've been told no, we do not need a generator.

Shoot, only 20A, alright, I was hoping for at least 30A. Not as useful to me then. Good luck!

Reviving this because stuff MUST go. Last year I had seat safety switch and chartreuse show up and take home a car load of stuff and there was another dozen boxes I shipped out to various folks before the latest tariffs came in but I would really like to get my living room back.

Panasonic video reel-to-reel time lapse recorder. Mechanically functional. Never tested. - $50

Electrohome 30's AM tube radio. Not restored. - $35

Xerox MemoryWriter 645S. Floppy drives need belts soon. Comes with boot floppies and documentation. - $40

Philips EL-3400 1" Video Tape Recorder (mid-60's?). Drum is ruined by corrosion. Would need a full restore. - $100

Nicolet Oscilloscope + floppy storage option. Missing cover. Only displays a dot on the screen - $50

Nordmende Boheme C tube Radio. Cracking finish and no back cover. Came up on a dim bulb and picked up an AM broadcast but badly needs a recap - $5

IBM 024 card verifier and IBM 026 keypunch $200 pays the gas and trailer rental I had to do to bring these to the house and you can have it for that.

Local pickup is STRONGLY recommended and I'm pricing things to make the cost of a weekend trip and a hotel room worth it if you take things away by the tonne. There's lots of just "loose fluff and stuff" I'm sure I have but it's clutter I'd rather go to good homes and people who complain about this hobby being too expensive rather than get recycled after holding for over a decade.

There's also rough commodore 1541's, boxes of PC parts and cables that are free and boxes of older XT/386/486 boards I just need gone, but the individual packing and shipping stuff is killing me along with border tariffs.
I don't care if I can make a better return selling the stuff elsewhere. The key here is time and I just don't have enough of it. I need the space and if there's no taker it will get recycled, so I'm making a VERY generous offer to anyone who just shows up with an empty car, truck or trailer to just show up and fill it. Half this stuff is not worth the time or effort to ship.



Two small notes:
-Picking up or proxying a deal with John's Jukes on their behalf will not be allowed. Dude's a snake. Go back to flipping pinball machines for $5000 and smuggling arcade cabinets into the United States to dodge import fees. I want nothing to do with you.

-Regarding the "spoken for" stuff. Like dude, I know you're having a rough time and just moved but I don't want to be that guy with a field of dreams but nothing's actually for sale because "it belongs to someone else. They just have not picked it up yet." Holding stuff for people pins me in one place because I can't let it get damaged and I can't more deeply put it away because you might show up next weekend for all I know. It's been two years. Someone else wants it, someone else gets it at this point unless you ask someone else to help you get it out of here now.
