Can anyone provide a pointer to where I can obtain a replacement for my Northstar Horizon reset switch?

I know that it is a simple normally open momentary switch, but I'd like to get a replacement that will fit into the panel the same and look about the same if possible. Otherwise, I'll simply parallel in another momentary switch.

Thanks!

Hi Chuck,

Yes something quite similar to that.

My switch measures something like 3/8" tall and 15/16" wide - it snap fits into a 1/2" x 1" panel opening (?). It has a tall switch paddle that is quite robust. Mine just has contact issues, requiring something like 20 attempts to get it to do a reset. Oh, yeah, it also has 1/4" tabs for push-on connections.

Thanks for giving it a try!

You might be able to refurb the switch by squirting some contact cleaner between the actuator and the housing and operating it for a bit. Otherwise, post a photo of the thing and we'll see if we can locate a closer replacement.

I had the same issue. I just bounced the switch about 50 times and now it works 100%.
Don't replace it yet. It is just dirty contacts.
