just in case anyone here missed it

Looks quite nice, 12k, will be interested to see what it go's for
Dave

Last one of these went for about US$3200 a few weeks ago:

Seems kind of high to me for a non working fixer-upper. I have fully working 16K PDP-8m's with EAE that I don't think would fetch that much.

I was amazed the first went for that much. I'd have expected 1/2 or less. But you never know on eBay. Someone really wanted that. I sold my
8e with 32k core, 2 RK05s in a rack for less than that 3 years ago. I'd like to have an 8e again, but not at those prices.

Assuming the seller hasn't just lifted the auction pictures it IS the same machine as that one.
The modules with yellow handles is pretty distictive, and the same switches are missing.

Most of the pictures are the same. I noticed that too. But the primary photo has different switches missing.
It is the same seller though.

The seller probably bought a pallet of like-configured systems from some manufacturer (or a government auction). Each one probably has all the same innards, but different switches broken on the front panel.

Well, I hope it's a really big pallet, he floods the market with them, and the prices come down as the pile shrinks! ;)

After studying the photos a little, I conclude it's another machine.

I'll bet the same buyer as the first, gets this one too... for spares.:)
