You can get a new 10TB NAS drive for $215 shipped these days and it would take up less space and use much less power.
 
I’ve got an old lsi/netapp array that was storage behind a NAS cluster. It’s new enough to have SAS drives in it, instead of FC, and it was free to me when it went out of support. It’s loud and not very dense, I think it’s got 450 and 600 gb drives in it. I just use it to play with windows fail over clustering. If someone within driving distance wanted, I’d probably give it away.
