Hi.
Does anyone know where can i find some imformation for ZAX ICD 278?
i would like to get the 2.0 firmware and the host software as well.
On the web i have found the manual, but not any software.
I have found barely 6 web pages, all pointing to the same document.

The product latest date was 1985. Of course the ZAX company does not exist anymore.

BTW, Did anyone work with this tool?.
Did exist other ZAX ICEs, besides the Z80 version?.

This thread is very old (but I see you have been here as recently as March) so while you probably got your answers long ago, you are one of the top google hits for the ICD-278.

I've never seen firmware updates for them. I didn't even know an updated ROM was even available. I would hazard to guess the base version is good enough for most Z80 debugging at this point. For Software these were mainly self-contained. Plug in a serial terminal (or attach a computer with a terminal emulator) and it's all built-in. I've yet to see a fotware package myself but I would hazard to guess it just passes commands back-and fourth through the text interface.

For the rest, ZAX sold a number of ICE's for other processors. The Z80 ones seems to be somewhat popular with the Sega folk because they were internally used for debugging. For documentation, there's bitsavers.
