Thought I'd share an image of the QBus machine I've been building. It's a dual chassis BA23 PDP-11/73 with RL02 drives in a "DEC Datadesk" or whatever they're officially called!

It's got:
M8190 CPU at 18MHz with FPU
4M of PMI memory
8 port serial mux
RQDX3 controller with RX50 dual floppy and RD52 full heightdrive
Emulex UC07 SCSI with ST43400N full height drive
KDA 50 controller and cables, waiting for an RA82. Do you have one?
M7516 Ethernet
QProbe 2023 (the front panel in the BA23)
M8061 RL02 controller and dual RL02 drives
M7546 tape controller for external tape

Very nice - similar to what I am trying to build.

If you don't mind me asking, what are the base addresses for the RQDX3 and the UC07... On mine I am planning on 17772150 for the RQDX3 and 17760334 for the UC07 - Thanks!

Neat, although with 18mhz CPU, PMI, and a FPU it's more of an 11/83 than a 73

and I thought you'd have connected it into the system somehow :P
Errr..not my system. I was merely passing along what Dave has said about this arrangement in the past. Although now that you mention it., I do have an 11/35 control panel that I always figured I'd do the Hoppe thing to...but your statement is making me think about having it controlled by a MicroVAX or a T11...I never use Linux (or Windows) for that which can be done by real DEC gear....
