Today I licked two stamps valued at $20.00 each (50c) and (10c)
made bout 80 years ago and stuck them to a unused post card made
100 years ago, later I installed a 33 meg RLL Seagate Hard Drive
into a IBM 5150, formatted it..........

Today I powered on my 54 year old Scott 222B vacuum tube stereo amplifier....
dropped a 44 year old copy of the Beatles Abbey Road vinyl....
on my 40 year old Technics turntable...
and enjoyed some sweet music :)

Then I replaced another bad 4116 RAM chip in my IBM 5150 16-64KB motherboard.

Today I:
  • Listened to music over a 40 year old amplifier and 30+ year old speakers hooked up to my 10 year old laptop
  • Ignored a call that I identified with my authentic Bell Atlantic caller ID
  • Briefly put my feet up on my nearly 70 year old footlocker, in which I have stored about 99% of my video game cartridge collection.
  • Checked my email on my week old cellphone...
Wait, ignore that last one. I feel myself becoming exactly what I didn't want to: glued to my phone. I can't even get it to play Silpheed for more than 45 seconds...

I shave every day with a double-edged razor that I bought in 1967. I recommend Feather brand blades.

It seems that they're coming back into fashion.

You are sick :p

Now if you'l excuse me i'm going to turn on my IBM PC/AT NAS Device that gives me a whopping 80mb of attached storage, connected through my PC/XT Firewall :)

Explain this PC/XT firewall..................

Today I:

Posted on the internet using an Amiga 500
Shaved using a double edged flat razor (1920 style)
Listened to Baroque concerti grossi c. 1720
Transferred data to my 1983 TRS-80 Model 100 (NADSbox)
Typed on my 1977 IBM beam spring terminal keyboard
Answered phone calls on my 1953 WE 500 Bakelite-handset phone
Cooked supper in vintage copper pots
Ate supper by candle light with beeswax candles

Beat that!

I took a photograph of the 4.527~ billion year old moon at about 5AM
DSC_0373.jpg
*goofy face* Game over!

I must admit - I didn't take a photo of that 4.527~ billion year old moon today, but I did view it in extreme detail in Celestia (high res addons) and zoom around it in Digital Universe. But I did look at a 3 billion year old rock formation on the Canada shield a few months ago.... so that must count for something. ;)

Today I opened my mailbox.......
to find a 100 year old postcard.......
with two 80 year old stamps.......
which I carefully removed and added to my stamp collection.....

Then I powered on my 5150 with 16-64KB motherboard and did not get any parity errors :)

Just about to ride off to work on my 1978 motorcycle like I do every work day. Oil comsumption is about 1300 miles but don't tell the greenies ah.

Today I came on this website and read about the statements in a fairly old modern language.

I also moved my PS/2 P70 door lock that keeps the cat out of my room.

Today I pumped air into the tires of my 1958 VW Bug using a foot pump. I also played The Settlers on my Amiga 500.
