Hi,

My name is John... English and retired IT guy, post work in Aerospace, Science & HPC inclusive of running supercomputing services from Cray X-MP & T3D onwards; still the proud owner of my first "luggable" PC, a Toshiba T5100 which still boots and works, for which I still have the original invoice, leather carrying case & quite a few floppy disks.

This T5100 is probably "vintage" now with its orange, gas plasma, screen; but I doubt the value will ever reach the original price again.

John

Welcome! We had a T5100 when I was a kid. It became my favorite the day I discovered I could connect the 5154 monitor from our AT to it and enjoy EGA graphics. Didn't realize it had EGA until months after we bought it. I have one in my collection.. still works, although the original HDD died. How much was your 5100 new if you don't mind me asking? Never did know what my Dad paid for his.
