  • From now on we will require that a prefix is set for any items in the sales area. We have created regions and locations for this. We also require that you select a delivery option before posting your listing. This will hopefully help us streamline the things that get listed for sales here and help local people better advertise their items, especially for local only sales. New sales rules are also coming, so stay tuned.

Hello.
I have a Unicom 141p calculator for sale.
The calculator powers up, but it doesn’t do anything else. It doesn’t respond when the buttons are pressed. There is a sound from the printer like the paper feeder keeps running. I’m sorry, but I’m not sure what the problem is.
Also it has a plastic piece split in half that says ribbon setting course.
I’m asking for 8,000$ OBO and I am open to questions.

If you're looking to win the Ebay lottery, you may as well try your luck over there. Eight grand for a broken old calculator is nonsense.

I'm aware of its history, but it's a nonsense price nonetheless. For that price, the machine should be in restored and working order, not "lol I found this broken thing in a dumpster, give me money."

Hm, maybe I need to dumpster dive in Texas if you find stuff this nice!

Doesn't seem like a bad asking price at this moment - I'm thinking non-stock investments are hot right now.

Hi there. Thank you for your comment. I guess this is one of those “agree to disagree” situations. I thought about putting it up on eBay, but if I can find a buyer here, both of us would save money on fees.

Thank you for your comment. Under my point of view, I think the price is fair too. Specifically taking into account how rare it is (I can’t find another one for sale), the price of other ones sold and, as you said, how it could be an investment for the future.

Just a friendly reminder to everyone that this a for sale thread and not a "debate the price" thread. OP stated the selling price, if it's too high for you, then don't buy it (or since OP indicated the price is negotiable, make an offer via DM).
