The Intel InBoard 386 PC/XT is NOT the same as the 386/AT chip. It is designed for computers with an 8088 processor. You can only reliably run Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.0 in real mode on a system with an Intel InBoard 386 PC/XT.
What a price…A moment for the history, 3 inboards for sale on ebay (not selling or buying but the prices are out of this world lol)

I think it could also be a sign of economic times. Things have gotten really expensive, so if you needed money you would reach for some of your highest valued possessions. I am seeing a lot of unobtanium hardware out there. Just wish we could see a few more Make-It 486's.A sure indication that we've moved from the "I need the old gear to do stuff" to "I think I'll have it gold-plated, framed and hung on a wall."

I think that point was about 30 years ago for the Inboard 386. No reason to buy one since then except for the novelty.A sure indication that we've moved from the "I need the old gear to do stuff" to "I think I'll have it gold-plated, framed and hung on a wall."
