  • From now on we will require that a prefix is set for any items in the sales area. We have created regions and locations for this. We also require that you select a delivery option before posting your listing. This will hopefully help us streamline the things that get listed for sales here and help local people better advertise their items, especially for local only sales. New sales rules are also coming, so stay tuned.

For Sale: spotted on Craigslist (continuous sightings)

heh I should see if the wife will let me replace one of my crappy computer desks. Yeah, I'm glad they took some pictures, I asked them about it a while back trying to identify what they had exactly.

"This was tested a few weeks ago, came on, then the power supply blew a capacitor. As such the power supply WILL need to be refurbished in order for this to power up and work. There may be additional fixes that will need to be performed, this is the best description I can offer at this point. The screen has no mold and works perfectly."

I met this guy and saw most of what he has for sale. The stuff is ok, but he is asking too much (for me at least). He is firm on his price. I did a quick calculation and it comes out to about $225 per machine. If enough people want something, I could coordinate a group buy...

Anyone in or around Jupiter, Florida?

(Or maybe this is one of our VCF members?)

A bunch of IBM stuff:

Osborne 1, $100, SF Bay Area (south bay)

"Working vintage Osborne 1 transportable computer with original diskettes and documentation. Includes diskettes for CBASIC/MBASIC, WordStar/MailMerge, SuperCalc, CP/M System, CP/M Utility, Extended Utility Disk. Cleaning out the garage and found this goodie for computer history buffs."

I've bought computer stuff from him recently, nice guy. He tested before putting up the ad, and let me test it before buying, so I'd trust that it's working. No email, but call Pacific time if interested.
