OEMs & clones on eBay (continuous listings)

To answer the question with a question: Suppose someone's handed you a pile of DC600A carts and you'd like to recover them. You can find a QIC36-interface drive that's compatible with them, but what do you hook it to on your nice shiny Core-i9 Win10 system?

I just read about the whole tweener thing. Haha. I didnt know they had a name. I have a tweener. An Asus P4P800 on which I can still connect a 360k 5.25 floppy...

I used to have one of these a long time ago. Nice for making labels.

I too noticed it "powers up" but doesn't seem to have images to that effect. If I'm not mistaken, its a B&W model.

I wonder if the contrast/brightness knob is set too low...

I was the 2nd bidder, but its not exactly what I want in a Model 25 and I'm sure the 286 upgrade card will take the price way past what is reasonable. I've already been outbid, I'm cheap, what can I say.

Incidentally, Anyone have a proper 286 Model 25 up for grabs? :D

"Hard drive spins up and fans come on but nothing else" means it's more than just the knobs. It should beep and try to seek the floppy. It could be a single bad component, or it could require tedious motherboard repair.

The Model 25-286 itself is quite uncommon. Working models go for $400+ these days. The 8086-based 8525 itself, while averaging roughly $150, has recently sold as high as $400 for the color version.
